Why nobody comes to visit me?!
I have tons of wood, tools and everything needed
I have a question though,
I turned a similar bowl (long grain) just as you are showing. The bowl twisted quite a bit and actually turned oval. I know this will happen (the bowl was turned with quite thick walls for later refine), especially with fruit trees, but would that happen with a hard wood as well? Surprisingly enough, natural edge bowls from the same type of wood, are holding their shape much better. The home made kiln helps quite a bit drying the wet wood, so far with very minimum checks
