This is by far the best lathe on the market, if he agrees I will be saying goodbye to my Powermatic 3520B

It depends, Oneway quoting around $4500, other tools shop can peak to about $6000, so I think my offer is quite generous
BTW - if I'll get it I will sell my 3520B, anyone interested?

מבחינת עלות תועלת הפאורמטיק לוקחת בגדול את הONEWAY
המפרט הטכני של הפאורמטיק הוא די דומה ל ONEWAY ובמיקרים מסויימים
טוב יותר.
צריך לזכור שפאורמטיק עולה פחות מחצי מONEWAY.
בפאורמטיק אפשר להזיז את המנוע לאורך המיטה (יתרון עצום בחריטה של
קערות גדולות)
החסרון העקרי של הפאורמטיק זה המשקל שלה יש לה נטיה לרעוד במצבים מסויימים.
והחסרון הכי חשוב זה הצבע של הפאורמטיק איך אפשר להשוות בין
הצהוב-חרדל המכוער הזה לבין הלבן האריסטוקרטי והקווים המעוגלים
של הONEWAY

אין ספק הONEWAY היא מחרטה יפה שאתה רוצה שתהיה אצלך.

If we're comparing Powermatic to Oneway, we need to compare apples to apples. The 3520B is not a fair compare both from the size, width, feature, cost and target audience. For that the 4224 is the proper lathe since it has quite similar feature as the 2436, both has 3HP, weight is about the same, the price rage is similar, both have fixed headstock and both are targeting professionals wood-turners. However, the 2436 is by far more massive as the bearings are among the best in their class. The 2436 is for professionals who makes turning their living, not a weekend (if I'm lucky) hobbyist like myself, but that's quite an attractive opportunity
Tucson AZ is a bit too far from here, around two hours flight so I will pass
